Who we are
cosmic_universum (cosmicuniversum.com) makes astrology workbooks and guides. It is run by Michal Jasz, who is the data controller for the data described here. Contact: hello@cosmicuniversum.com.
What we collect
When you sign up through our website form or a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) lead form, we collect your email address and first name.
When you read our emails, our email provider records whether you opened them and which links you clicked, plus technical data such as your IP address, device and email app. We use this to see which content is useful and to keep our list healthy.
When you visit our website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site. If you agree to cookies, the Meta Pixel also records which pages you visit (see below).
Why we collect it
We use your email address and first name to send you the free workbook you asked for, and to send you our emails with astrology guides and news about our products. You agree to both when you sign up.
Our legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). The Meta Pixel also runs only with your consent. Website security and delivery rely on our legitimate interest in running a safe site (Article 6(1)(f)).
Giving us your email address is voluntary, but without it we can’t send you the workbook. We don’t use automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similar effects on you.
Who processes your data for us
- Meta Platforms collects your details when you use a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, and runs the Meta Pixel on our website. Meta’s own privacy policy also applies.
- An automation tool passes your details from Meta to our email provider.
- Sender (sender.net) stores your email address and first name and sends our emails. Sender hosts subscriber data in the EU.
- Cloudflare hosts our website and the workbook downloads, and handles mail sent to our address.
- Google (Gmail) receives the emails you send us.
We don’t sell your data and don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires it. Some providers, such as Meta, may transfer data outside the EU or EEA, for example to the United States. Those transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
With your permission, our website uses the Meta Pixel to measure our ads and show them to people who may be interested. It loads only after you accept it in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of the page.
How long we keep it
We keep your data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a do-not-contact list so we never email you again, and we keep a record of your original consent as proof.
How to unsubscribe
Every email has an Unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email hello@cosmicuniversum.com and we’ll remove you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to processing, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing doesn’t affect anything we did before. We reply within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Poland that’s the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl), or you can contact the authority in your own country.
Children
Our emails are not meant for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
